The land lies on the north shore of one of Europe"s largest fresh water lakes, Lake Balaton. The resort towns of Balatongyorok, Keszthely. and the thermal lake spa of Heviz are all close by. The following are distances from major European cities: Budapest 172 km, Vienna 198 km, Prague 519 km, Munich 558 km, Berlin 873 km.

Lake Balaton is one of the most popular tourism centres visited in Hungary and abounds with a variety of sporting attractions for visitors from all over the world. Besides golf sailing, wind surfing, fishing, swimming are very appealing. Bicycle paths and horse riding facilities make the area a destination of choice. The area"s climate permits a much longer golf season, even depending on the temperature the possibility to play golf year round.

Directions to the course. Balatongyorok is easily accesible via Budapest or Austria by major roadways. Fly Balaton Airport in Sarmelek is close by, and the international airports of Budapest, Vienna, Bratislava, and Zagreb are all within 2-3 hour drive. The golf course also has its own train station served by MAV, the Hungarian National Railway.

18 Hole Golf Course

Dipl Ing Hans Georg Erhart of the Golf and Land design company in Steyr, Austria is the architect. He designed the 18 hole course with great attention to the finest of details, with the fine use of this beautiful and scenic piece of land. The course lies within Hungary"s Balaton national park, and care was taken in the conservation of the natural beauty of the area. The driving range, chipping and putting greens, and practice sand bunkers are all in operation now. The scheduled opening of the first 9 holes is due for the spring of 2010.
